The Comedy Embassy, Fridays at Boom Chicago, is Amsterdam’s funniest stand-up show, and we’ve got the reviews to prove it! Every week, you get a mix of the best English language comedians based in the Netherlands, visiting international stars, social media celebrities, and hysterical up and comers, about to break through.

The Comedy Embassy started in the Red Light District, and has produced stand-up comedy showcases at the best venues in Amsterdam. Today the famous comedy night is back at Boom Chicago where it is based in The Upstairs Theater, Amsterdam’s best room for comedy.

For our regulars, every first Friday of the month is our most special program. There you can expect new comedians, new material and fresh, envelope-pushing routines.

To help combat the coronavirus, The Comedy Embassy has taken the following precautions:

  1.  Upon arrival, you will be asked if you or any member of your group has experienced possible symptoms of COVID-19 in the last few days. If so, we’re afraid you will not be allowed to enter. You will also be asked if the members of your group are part of the same household. If not, we are required to seat you at separate tables.
  2. Upon entering, we kindly ask you to disinfect your hands with the gel provided near the entrance. For the sake of everyone’s health and safety, we have positioned an additional disinfection station near our bathrooms and we encourage everyone to make use of this before and after using our facilities.
  3. You will be seated at tables that are positioned to leave a distance of at least 1.5 meters between all guests.
